Happy December! We are officially in the last month of the year and working hard these last few weeks to end the year on a positive note. There are some exciting new items coming to Shawnee in 2025 and we are finalizing everything to be able to share them with you soon!
With just 20 days left until Christmas, many of us are spending our free time running around getting that shopping done as soon as possible. Have you ever thought about how Shawnee Springs can help knock some gifts off your list, or help make that Christmas meal extra special? With hundreds of products to choose from, it can certainly seem overwhelming, so let us help make it a little easier.
At the top of the list for many of our wholesale customers right now is Christmas Jam, a blend of strawberries and cranberries. If you are one to host for the holidays, stock up on plenty of adult beverages from Bloody Mary or tomato juice mixes, craft beers and wines to craft sodas and ciders. Salsa and dips are also great to have around for snacking while you are home.
Looking for other comfort holiday flavors? You can find many fall flavors like Pumpkin Pancake, Cinnamon Swirl Streusel Muffin, Caramel Apple Scone, Caramel Apple Pie Bars, Apple Fritter Loaf, and Cinnamon Swirl Loaf in our bake mix selection. Our Apple Cider Jelly is great for brushing on your crusts after baking. Our flavorful syrup options, like Cinnamon Apple or Blackberry, can be warmed up and used as ice cream topping! As always, we will also direct you to our Apple Butter selection – Apple Butter, No Sugar Added Apple Butter, Rum Apple Butter, Cinnamon Apple Butter, Honeycrisp Apple Butter, and Pecan Apple Butter.
Prefer stocking stuffers or items for gift baskets? 9oz jars would be perfect! Our fruit butters and most jam/jelly/preserve items can be found in these half pints, as well as our pepper jellies, jalapeno jams, and no sugar added jams. Mix and match however you want!
We look forward to seeing you and your family at the market this holiday season!

What to Know for December
December is an exciting time of the year for both the market and cannery! We enjoy being able to help other markets around the country get what they need to have a successful end of the year for their communities, and we love seeing everyone that pops in here in Cross Junction or Winchester – it is an honor to be a part of your holiday! With the holiday season comes special holiday hours.Â
For our markets, both Winchester and Cross Junction will operate on regular hours (7 a.m. to 8 p.m.) until Christmas Eve. Both markets will be open 7 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve and close Christmas Day. On the 26th, Winchester will be back to normal hours through the rest of the New Year, and Cross Junction will be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be back on normal hours the 27th through the New Year. If you have any questions, please contact your local market. Our cannery office will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, operating on regular hours all other days.
Shawn the Elf is back for the holiday season! Last year, we introduced our Elf on the Shelf friend, and our community helped us pick out his name. We are excited that he is back for another year around Shawnee Springs Market. Join us on our social media or through weekly emails to see more of Shawn’s adventures.
It is never too late to buy some Christmas décor – and with 19 days still left until the holiday, there is still plenty of time to stock up! Many of these items can make great Christmas gifts as well for your friends and family to use for years to come. Ornaments, figurines, kitchen towels, door signs, and more.
We hope this month’s blog inspires you throughout the holiday season! Have a great rest of your 2024 and here’s to an amazing 2025!
