First, with only one month left in 2022, it’s time to look back on month eleven! November brings a crazy busy season for our bakers and kitchen crews as we celebrate the biggest food holiday of the year, Thanksgiving! We started the month wrapping up with pumpkins, moved into holiday pies and quickly dove straight into holiday decor! I always feel like once Thanksgiving hits, we fly right into the Christmas season, how about you?? November at Shawnee springs definitely is a hustle and bustle season, but it was so much fun! Here are a few of our favorite highlights:

ONE: Thanksgiving Pies

The entire month of November was open for Thanksgiving pie pre orders! Both locations prepped and spend hours and hours baking to fill all the pie pre orders from our community! We are so thankful for the community support and want to give a huge shout out to our crews who put in incredible effort this season! Here are a few of best sellers from the 2022 season:

“The people here were super nice. I was just there to get gas and decided to get a coffee…but I left with a lot more. I’m writing a review for the pie though. I just had a slice of the best pie I’ve ever eaten in my life. It was the Fruits of the Forest pie that had just come out of the oven. When I got home, I had a slice, and it was still warm. I don’t know how it’s so good, but its seriously delicious. You’ll just have to go get one.”

TWO: Apples

Next, November means that local apples are still going strong! Both locations are fully stocked with Virginia grown apples, and let me add, they sure are delicious! My top favorite is honey crisp BUT here are a few other great varieties that we stocked this month.

THREE: Holiday Decor

Finally, as if one holiday was not enough Shawnee is full blown ready for the holiday season! November was rocking and rolling with local produce and pies for the Thanksgiving table, BUT at the same time was also decked out in full holiday cheer. Check out the markets for ornaments, gnomes, holiday decor, garland, cozy socks, hats and gloves, Brumates, Mr. Bird wild bird food and SO much more!
