We have some very exciting updates for the coming holiday season of Thanksgiving and Christmas! We would love to be a part of your family’s traditions!

Thanksgiving Pies:

Pre-orders for Thanksgiving Pies are now available!

Thanksgiving is a major holiday for the Shawnee Springs community as hundreds of pie orders flood our systems. We have many different choices, but here are our most popular pie orders from years past!

1. Pumpkin Pie

4. Fruits of the Forest Pie (A delicious blend of apples, strawberries, red raspberries, blackberries and rhubarb)

Apple Butter

We will be starting production on Apple Butter soon. At Shawnee Springs, many of our products are made at the plant! Apple Butter has been our top selling product at the cannery.   

Check out this recipe using Apple Butter:

30-Minute Apple Butter Pancakes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1¼cups all-purpose flour
  • 2tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 2tsp cinnamon
  • ½tsp ground ginger
  • ½tsp salt
  • â…›tsp nutmeg
  • 1cup milk
  • ¼cup apple butter
  • 2tbsp melted butter
  • 1egg

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In medium bowl – whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, salt & nutmeg.
  2. In a large bowl- stir together milk, apple butter, melted butter, & egg.
  3. Fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture until completely incorporated.
  4. Ladle the batter onto a preheated skillet or griddle set at 325 degrees & cook the pancakes for 3-5 minutes on each side until deep golden brown.
  5. Serve with melted butter, syrup & pecans on top.
